Legal Agreements & Policies
Last Updated: June 2026 · These terms apply to all purchases and use of PIForge software products.
1. Terms of Service
Welcome to PIForge ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing our website at piforge.pages.dev and purchasing any software product, you ("User" or "Customer") agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service in their entirety. If you do not agree, do not access or use our services.
Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years of age or have the authority to bind a legal entity to enter into this agreement.
License Grant: Upon successful payment, PIForge grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to install and use the purchased software on a single PI Vision server instance as specified in the EULA.
Account Responsibility: You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Any activity conducted under your account is your responsibility.
Modifications: PIForge reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Seoul, Korea.
2. End User License Agreement (EULA)
This End User License Agreement ("EULA") is a legally binding agreement between you and PIForge for the use of all software products purchased through this platform ("SOFTWARE PRODUCT"). By installing, copying, downloading, or otherwise using the SOFTWARE PRODUCT, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms of this EULA.
Scope of License: Each license key authorizes use on one (1) PI Vision server installation only. Use on multiple servers requires the purchase of additional licenses.
Prohibited Actions: You may NOT, under any circumstances:
- ✕ Copy, redistribute, or resell the SOFTWARE PRODUCT or any part thereof
- ✕ Share, transfer, or sublicense your license key to any third party
- ✕ Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code
- ✕ Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based on the SOFTWARE PRODUCT
- ✕ Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright or proprietary notices
- ✕ Use the SOFTWARE PRODUCT for any unlawful purpose
Termination: This license is effective until terminated. Your rights under this EULA will terminate automatically without notice if you fail to comply with any of its terms. Upon termination, you must destroy all copies of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT.
Ownership: The SOFTWARE PRODUCT is licensed, not sold. PIForge retains all title, ownership, and intellectual property rights in and to the SOFTWARE PRODUCT.
3. License Enforcement & Anti-Piracy
IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING UNAUTHORIZED DISTRIBUTION
Unauthorized copying, sharing, or distribution of PIForge software or license keys is a serious violation of copyright law and this agreement, and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
Copyright Protection: All PIForge software products are protected under the Republic of Korea Copyright Act (저작권법) and international copyright treaties including the Berne Convention and the Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS).
Criminal Liability (Korea): Under Article 136 of the Korean Copyright Act (저작권법 제136조), unauthorized reproduction or distribution of copyrighted software may result in criminal penalties of up to 5 years imprisonment or a fine of up to KRW 50,000,000.
International Enforcement: For users outside Korea, violations may be subject to applicable local copyright laws, including but not limited to the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), EU Directive 2001/29/EC, and equivalent legislation in your jurisdiction.
Civil Damages: PIForge reserves the right to seek civil damages, including actual damages and any profits attributable to the infringement, as well as statutory damages and attorney's fees.
License Key Monitoring: PIForge may technically monitor license key usage. If a license key is detected in use on multiple servers simultaneously or is found to have been publicly shared, PIForge reserves the right to immediately revoke the license without refund and pursue legal remedies.
Reporting Piracy: If you are aware of unauthorized distribution of PIForge software, please report it to contact.piforge@gmail.com. PIForge takes all reports seriously.
4. Intellectual Property
PIForge Content: All content on this website and within our software products — including but not limited to source code, design, graphics, user interface, and documentation — is the exclusive intellectual property of PIForge and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.
Third-Party Trademarks: "PI Vision," "AVEVA," "OSIsoft," and related product names are trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective owners. PIForge is an independent software vendor and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by AVEVA or OSIsoft. Use of these names is solely for the purpose of describing compatibility.
Feedback: Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide regarding PIForge products may be used by PIForge without any obligation to you.
5. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
"As-Is" Basis: The SOFTWARE PRODUCT is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Compatibility: While PIForge makes reasonable efforts to maintain compatibility, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation following PI Vision updates, patches, or changes in your server environment. Compatibility issues arising from third-party software updates are not grounds for refund.
Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PIForge shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of business profits or revenue
- Business interruption or production downtime
- Loss of process data or industrial control data
- Loss of business information or any other pecuniary loss
Maximum Liability: In any case, PIForge's total cumulative liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific product giving rise to the claim.
6. Privacy Policy
PIForge is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy describes what data we collect and how we use it.
Data We Collect: Email address, encrypted password (never stored in plain text), purchase history, license key records, and anonymized/hashed IP address for security and analytics purposes.
Payment Data: PIForge does not store credit card numbers or payment credentials. All payment transactions are securely processed by PayPal or Lemon Squeezy (Stripe). Please review their respective privacy policies for details.
Data Usage: Collected data is used solely to provide and improve our services, process purchases, deliver license keys, and ensure platform security.
Data Sharing: We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except as required by law or as necessary to process your payment through our payment providers.
Data Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us at contact.piforge@gmail.com. Note that purchase records may be retained for legal and accounting purposes.
7. Refund Policy
No Refund Circumstances: Refunds will not be issued for: change of mind, incompatibility with unsupported PI Vision versions, incompatibility with third-party modifications to your PI Vision environment, or failure to follow the installation instructions.
Exception: A refund may be considered only if the SOFTWARE PRODUCT completely fails to function on a supported PI Vision version (as listed in the product documentation), and our support team is unable to resolve the issue within 30 days of the reported problem.
