Operator data entry that writes back into the PI System instead of into a screenshot. Drop tags on the symbol and get a spreadsheet-style grid over any interval and range, with recorded values pre-filled and gaps shown as empty cells. Save batches every changed cell into a single PI Web API call executed with the operator's own Windows account, so AF security still applies. Switch to tag-list mode for shift rounds - one row per tag with its current value, units and a New Value field, grouped under its AF element. Validation rules by tag-name pattern (numeric ranges, types, pick-lists) flag bad entries instantly and refuse to send them to PI.
